Ferdinand Kohle is a scientist, designer, and deep tech founder working at the intersection of advanced materials, product innovation, and cultural systems. Trained at Imperial College (postdoc, Stevens Group), Cornell University (PhD, Wiesner Group) and the Royal College of Art (MA), he translates frontier research into commercially viable technologies and design-led ventures.
As Founder & CEO of CipherX.tech and Founding Member of Bioqore.AI, he develops next-generation technology platforms spanning intradermal delivery, consumer health and beauty products, and intelligent manufacturing.
His work has been published in leading journals including Advanced Materials, ACS Nano, Chemistry of Materials, and Journal of Physical Chemistry, and featured in FRIEZE, PBS Art:21, Designboom, and e-flux.
He has taught at institutions including Cornell University, the Royal College of Art, Imperial College London, University College London, National College of Art & Design Dublin, and Heidelberg University, bridging research with design and entrepreneurial execution.
